La Mode for the Holidays

Pour le Plaisir

J’adore the holiday season!  Don’t you just love the feel of happiness, the promise of future snow, and the holiday coffee cups Starbucks gives out??  My favorite part is the parties… and figuring out what to wear.  There is no better time than now to let your hair down and be glam- you never know who you’ll run into when you’re heading back home for Thanksgiving break.  C’est la vie.

I’ve compiled three looks that I feel are perfect for whatever looks you’re aiming for!

Look # 1: Chic and Classy in Gold

Gold Outfit

Dress is ASOS, you can find it here (longer version here)  //  Earrings are Ralph Lauren here  //  Shoes are ASOS here  //  Iphone case is ASOS here  //  Clutch is Kurt Geiger (one sale!) here

Personally, I’ve added those shoes and clutch to my own shopping list.  The heel is the perfect height:  enough lift to give you beautiful legs, but not high enough that you’re on stilts and cannot walk.  The clutch?  Well, you can really never go wrong with black and gold, n’est ce pas?

Look # 2 Je Ne Sais Quoi in Sapphire

Blue Outfit

Dress is Nasty Gal here  //  Clutch is Kurt Geiger here  //  Shoes are Kurt Geiger here //  Cuff is Alexis Bitter (on sale) here  //  Lipstick is Tom Ford here

I’m a huge fan of Tom Ford lipsticks.  They class up any ensemble.  I feel as though you can show up to your holiday party naked, save for this lipstick and you’d still be a success.  Actually- you’d likely be the life of the party!  Alexis Bittar opened up shop about a year ago in my hometown, and that’s how I heard about her jewelry.  She has some really lovely pieces!

Looks #3 Feminine Casual in Burgundy

Casual Holiday

Boots are Stuart Weitzman here  //  Poloneck is ASOS here  //  Leather Skirt is GAP here  //  Bag is Stella McCartney here

Because sometimes, you just don’t want to put your heels on. If you’re looking to be the “girl next door, but of course I’m still super chic” this Thanksgiving- try out this style.  Super casual, but still adorable.  Most importantly, comfortable!  Throw on some opaque black tights (Uniqlo sells amazing ones) and head on out!

I hope you all have a lovely Thanksgiving, full of bonheur et champagne!!!
